Simply Red quits The Green

Trout Fisherman (UK) - - News & Views -

HE mightn’t be short of a bob or two but time-poverty has forced Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall to put his Irish fishing estate on the market. A £2.2m price tag has been slapped onto the Glenmore Rivers Estate, at the foot of Co. Donegal’s Blue Stack Mountains, which Hucknall and his former bandmate Chris De Margary, both keen anglers, bought 12 years ago. “Mick and Chris have enjoyed the estate over the years but they don’t feel they are spending as much time there lately, due to other commitments,’ says Pat O’Hagan, a regional sales manager for selling agents Savills. Complete with a five-bedroom lodge, 90 yards from the River Finn, the estate provides shooting opportunities as well as salmon and sea trout fishing.
