Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Contents -

There are many speciallydesignated Troutmasters waters in the UK where you can enter, and the number of fisheries joining is growing. If you catch a fish at any of these waters you can register it using the official forms, which must be sent to our offices within five days of capture. Forms are available at the fisheries. Senior and junior entry forms are available. Juniors must be under 14, seniors aged 14 and over. New this year: Anglers can enter fish caught on any-method. However, the Senior and Junior finals remain FLY only. Captors of the three biggest fish win an exclusive Troutmasters badge. You could also win an exclusive Gold Badge if you win five Troutmasters badges each from five different fisheries during the course of the competition. At the end of the year all badge winners will be invited to enter a fish-off at the water where they won the badge to decide who will get an invitation to the Final. Each fish-off will be run by the fishery concerned to local rules, and can involve around 36 anglers. One angler from each water will qualify for the Final. Each competition runs from the 21st of the month to the 20th of the next. Judging takes place on the 25th. An award will be made to the most consistent angler of the year.
