Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Advice -

Overall, floating lines offer us a greater degree of depth control, especially in a flat calm. Depending on leader length and the weight of our flies to a greater or lesser degree we have some say on how deep, or not they will fish. Where gently shelving banks are concerned, lighter patterns with shorter, or greased leaders will hold them clear of the lake bottom for longer. Furthermore, we can trundle our flies back at an ultra-slow speed without the fear of them snagging bottom.
