Wychwood quick drain competitor bass bag £29.99

Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Tackle -

WORKING at Rutland Water I’ve seen my fair share of competition weigh-ins, with anglers coming to the scales with their fish in all manner of plastic bags, ice boxes and fish basses. Many of them are full of water which then has to be disposed of before the fish can be weighed, often a messy and tricky business. Wychwood have come up with a solution in their competitor bass bag which has a ‘quick drain’ facility. The bag is made from a fairly substantial EVA with welded seams throughout and measures 27 x 22 x 6 inches. It has a double zip opening and a wired top which will stay open so you can drop fish in easily without it collapsing. At the bottom edge of the bag is a simple screw-top drain system. You just unscrew the cap and the water drains out while the fish stay secured in the bag. The bag has two carry handles and is more than capable of taking an eight-fish limit.

VERDICT:

A great idea for the competition angler, making the weigh-in so much easier.

Drain cap on the side of the bass bag.
