Nature’s Spirit Premium Bugger Bou £3.25

Trout Fisherman (UK) - - Tackle -

IN my experience you can never have too much marabou. It must be one of the most popular fly-tying materials, adding colour and movement to a whole variety of flies. These packs of ‘mini’ plumes are especially versatile. Each pack contains between 24 and 28 plumes. They measure up to four inches in length and the maximum fibre length is no more than 1.5 inches. They can be used whole, with two tied in back to back for really dense wings and tails with a lovely taper and bags of movement. On long shank lures and small predator patterns the feathers can be used to create very effective and mobile palmered bodies and throat hackles. The feather fibre can be trimmed off the stem and used to make wings and tails on smaller patterns up to size 10. The marabou is available in 18 colours: olive, light olive, grey olive, brown olive, yellow, brown, red, claret, orange, black, white, tan, fluo chartreuse, purple, fluo hot pink, fluo blue, fluo green and crawdad orange. You get a lot of material for your money and all are good quality selected plumes, well dyed and with no waste.
