Scot­land win gold

THE 2018 Au­tumn In­ter­na­tional, held at Llyn Brenig saw Scot­land put in a stel­lar per­for­mance to win gold, their first gold since 2016 which was also in Wales on Llan­degfedd Reser­voir. They caught 79 fish for 164lb 15oz, nine fish and 19lb 7oz ahead of host na­tion Wales. Team Eng­land fin­ished third land­ing 65 fish for 134lb 13oz leav­ing Ire­land in fourth place with 51 fish for 107lb 10oz. In ad­di­tion to team gold, Scot­land’s Grant Osler took the Brown Bowl with 11 fish, while team­mate Stu­art McLean’s nine fish gave him se­cond place. Eng­land’s Tom Davis fin­ished third, also with nine, while Scot­land’s Ron­nie Gil­bert’s eight fish gave him fourth. Terry Llewe­lyn from Wales won the H. Emyr Lewis Tro­phy catch­ing the heav­i­est fish of the match. The Spring In­ter­na­tional will be held at Grafham on Fri­day May 10.
