How the top three anglers caught their fish and our promise to deliver the correct results
COURTESY of new champ Anthony Meadows, the Troutmasters trophy heads to north-east England for the fifth time in six years, after last month’s exciting Final at Draycote Water. Hosting its second Final, the famous War wickshire venue laid on f ish galore for competitors, who’d come from all over the UK and there were numerous prizes available at the presentation ceremony after wards. Our thanks go to Ifor Jones and his team at Draycote for all their help, to the catering team at the Waterside Restaurant, whose excellent post-match meal included a cheesecake to die for, and, as always, to tireless Troutmasters co-ordinator Samantha Toombs, without whose work throughout the year, there wouldn’t be a Final to start with. We now look for ward to celebrating 40 years of Troutmasters at the 2019 Final, but in the meantime, read on for inter views with the top three… but you'll have to wait for the full results after a mix up with the calculations.
The trophy we're all after. Anthony poses with the spoils.
