Inverness Angling Club, River Ness

Trout & Salmon (UK) - - Fishing Reports Scotland -

Salmon and grilse run the Ness throughout the year so there’s always the chance of a fish from opening day on February 1, when big springers run the rivers Moriston, Oich and Garry, to the end of the season on October 15. The beat offers salmon and sea-trout fishing on ten pools from the edge of Inverness through the Ness Islands. Its wide, streamy waters are especially attractive for fly-fishing. As a club beat, there will always be other anglers happy to help with tips on appropriate flies etc. Day-tickets for salmon start from £10 and weekly permits £75. Contact Tom Carter, Fishpal. Tel: 01573 470 612. Buy tickets online at www.fishpal.com/scotland/ness/invernessanglingclub
