SALMON RUN BY THE GARDEN
Although perhaps best known for its coarse fishing, the Dorset Stour, which enters the sea at Christchurch, also holds trout and salmon. A mill on the river with fishing rights is for sale four miles from Gillingham. Mill House at Stour Provost is a grade II Georgian house with views over the Blackmore Vale. Thought to date from the early 19th century, it provides three reception rooms, conservatory, four bedrooms, study, bathroom and shower room. The Old Mill has been converted to provide sitting room, kitchen/breakfast room, bedroom and bathroom. Outside are restored barn, duck house and former cart shed and paddocks, with gardens and grounds extending to just under 5½ acres. The river forms one boundary and there is a mill pond and leat.
The land is bounded by the Stour.
