Trout & Salmon (UK) - - READING RIVERS -

8 I’m surprised to see so many fishermen still using plastic or rubber chest waders, even on expensive beats where the fishing fee is many times that of a good pair of breathable waders. I believe breathables are one of the most important innovations of recent years. In rubber or plastic waders you sweat like the devil when it’s warm or you must walk the banks, and then you freeze when back in the water. Tradition does not justify their use – they are not good for your health.

Nylon chest waders are affordable but you'll "sweat like the devil" on a long walk.
