Trout & Salmon (UK) - - Fishing Reports - DNC.

FISH COUNTS through the Tees Barrage amounted to 46 in July, giving a total of 145 for the season to the end of July. Catch information for salmon has been non-existent so far this season. Some good trout fishing sport has been had especially in the evenings or after a rise in flow. Dry-fly tactics have been successful, as has upstream nymphing, often with diminutive patterns. The Northumbrian Water Reservoirs Grassholme and Hury have been popular during August. Anglers have averaged over three fish per visit with lures popular. Daddy Longlegs is now the go-to fly. Anglers averaged 3.6 fish per visit to Hury Reservoir. Traditional wet flies such as Bibio, Black Pennell, Zulu, Kate Mclaren and Black and Peacock Spider have figured in catches. I would like to invite Tees rods to report some of their catches, especially brown trout and sea-trout as well as salmon on 07590 411015 or email davecarrickryton@hotmail.com -
