INSPIRED BY A true story, this Russian disaster movie sees the crew of a Soviet naval icebreaker run into trouble with an Antarctic iceberg in 1985. Trapped by ice for days, and then weeks and months, the men’s predicament is made even worse by glacial communist bureaucracy.
Given the story it is no wonder the film moves slowly, but at least the climax is stirring stuff. Subtitled. 2016, 15, 124min
