Soft-hearted cabbie Keith Barret joined the ranks of TV’S lovable comedy losers in BBC2’S 10-minute Marion and Geoff monologues.
Baring his soul about his unseen wife Marion, who had left him to live with her colleague, Geoff, it was hard to know whether to laugh or cry. Star and co-writer Rob Brydon told us: ‘Keith’s a bit like Inspector Clouseau. Some people love him, while others reckon he needs a kick up the backside.’
