No sooner has the young Queen bowed out than it’s over to the Boy King. If you love historical drama – and I do – then Tutankhamun is an excellent replacement for Victoria on Sunday nights. Max Irons plays archaeologist Howard Carter, who discovered the teenage pharaoh’s tomb in Egypt in 1922, with Hollywood star Sam Neill as his financial benefactor. There’s even a Downton Abbey connection, as we learn on page 12.
