a terrible crime? Absolutely anything is possible, as we’re on set watching a scene being filmed for the second series of BBC1’S acclaimed drama Ordinary Lies.
While the hit first run, starring Jo Joyner and Max Beesley, explored torrid secrets at a Warrington car dealership, the second series, which has a whole new cast, is set in the call centre and warehouse of Coopers, a sports sales company in Wales.
Each episode again places a different employee under the spotlight, from managing director Jenna (Angela Griffin) to warehouse worker Fletch (Matt Di Angelo), who all have a secret to hide, or make a decision with far-reaching consequences.
‘It’s such a great premise,’ says Angela, 40, as we chat. ‘Everyone has a secret or something they’ve lied about. It’s such an interesting idea when someone makes a choice not to tell the truth and then there’s a snowball effect.’
Angela, most recently seen in Brief Encounters, jumped at the chance to join the series.
