Chris Gas­coyne on his de­ci­sion to re­turn to Corrie – and why, dur­ing his time away, he got on the wrong side of co-star David Neil­son…

‘But we’ve got the boys in now,’ adds Chris, re­fer­ring to Ken’s grand­son, Adam Bar­low and son Daniel Os­bourne, who’ll be on our screens from next month. ‘When you’ve got so many char­ac­ters in the fam­ily, it im­me­di­ately takes the pres­sure off me, Bill Roache [Ken] and Kate Ford [Tracy], so it’s good.’ sev­eral stints in panto. ‘That was hard work,’ he re­flects.
