If you’ve stuck with this se­ries so far then you’re ob­vi­ously OK with your drama be­ing more of a hor­ror film than a cosy, feel­good bit of es­capism. With that in mind, fans shouldn’t be dis­ap­pointed by the turn of events in this un­set­tling con­clud­ing episode. With James be­hind bars, po­lice of­fi­cer Mac is de­ter­mined to find out more about this mys­te­ri­ous char­ac­ter. While he un­cov­ers some skele­tons in the cup­board under the stairs, Paula is un­der­stand­ably be­com­ing more and more un­hinged. Or is she? There is, of course, a fi­nal con­fronta­tion be­tween the pair, but what hap­pens next will send a shiver down your spine. Not for the eas­ily spooked.
