Pot luck

Ross and Finn find a cannabis farm – could this solve their financial woes?

TV Times - - Soaps -

Finn Barton is supposed to be the brains of the family, yet the only idea he can come up with this week, when faced with the task of saving his clan from financial ruin, is to become an escort. It all goes horribly wrong, but, in the process, he and his brother Ross stumble upon a cannabis-growing enterprise up at Wylie’s Farm.

Finn comes up with his disastrous plan after the Bartons are rejected for another loan. He knows there’s good money to be made – after all, Tracy paid her old friend Nathan a packet to hang out with him. Bless him, though, he’s hardly oozing confidence.

‘Finn is very nervous about it,’ explains Joe Gill, who plays the cash-strapped geek. ‘He wants to keep his dignity, so he’s determined to do everything he can to get out of going all the way with his clients.’

When the family find out that Emma is still paying rent for

Wylie’s Farm, Finn is even more determined to help, and lands his first paying customer. ‘It soon becomes obvious that this guy wants more than just company,’ says Joe. ‘Finn panics, takes his money and runs – a long way!’

Ross gets wind of what Finn is up to, and they both end up at Wylie’s. As the pair are about to leave, Ross trips on a cable and the brothers open a door to find rows of cannabis plants prospering nicely.

‘Finn can’t believe what he is seeing,’ says Joe. ‘At first, he proper freaks out about it. But then Ross calms him down and makes him see that there could be a positive side to their discovery.’

Are the brothers about to become dodgy drug dealers?
