a bit like a favourite tipple, election coverage comes with a twist, straight up or on the rocks. Channel 4 get going first at 9.00pm with their Alternative Election Night, a mix of political commentary and deadpan from David Mitchell and Jeremy Paxman. BBC1, BBC2 and ITV follow (times vary) with more grown-up fare – David Dimbleby for the Beeb in his 10th election as anchor, Tom Bradby heading a solid team over at ITV.
