susan sarandon and Jessica lange take centre stage in the story of Hollywood’s greatest rivalry
Check out this fab snap of Hollywood stars Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange as Tinseltown legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in glamorous saga Feud: Bette and Joan.
BBC2 has just snapped up the rights to screen the critically acclaimed American drama, which will be shown on the channel later this year.
The eight-part series, which also features Catherine Zeta Jones as Olivia de Havilland, has been co-created and cowritten by Ryan Murphy, who gave us Glee. It explores how the pair’s off-screen rivalry played out on screen in the classic 1962 film Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? and how both actresses faced ageism and sexism.
‘There was a very rich, historical aspect to this feud,’ explains Oscar winner Susan. ‘But at the bottom of it was pain that they both shared.’
