Ross has the weight of the world on his shoulders again tonight following the recent bad harvest. Villagers are starving and resorting to stealing corn from the rich and royalty, and George, with his magistrate’s wig on, is having a field day handing out harsh sentences. Ross has a cunning plan, but will it work? Meanwhile, Poldark is delighted when Demelza gives birth to their baby daughter, Clowance (aww!), and they somehow find the time and energy to arrange a lovely christening. Elsewhere, there’s good news and bad news for fans of cute couple Morwenna and Drake, and the flamboyant Rev Ossie Whitworth makes his muchanticipated debut.
