Winter

TV Times - - Interview -

The programme shows how some insects produce a form of antifreeze to help them survive winter, but we also see how birds rely on human support.

‘As a nation we spend over £200million on bird food a year and for birds such as tits and goldfinches, that improves their winter survival. Their populations are stabilising and increasing due to this proactive conservation in our gardens,’ says Chris. ‘We also look at how robins are ferociously territorial and aggressive, and their red breasts are their war paint to help them keep their exclusive territory.’
