nadiya hus­sain’s in the Peak Dis­trict in this sec­ond episode of her new se­ries, spic­ing up more Bri­tish clas­sics and learn­ing all about the food we know and love. The for­mer Bake Off win­ner is start­ing with a twist on many peo­ple’s favourite in­dul­gence, the Bakewell tart, sprin­kling in some nut­meg for tan­ta­lis­ing ex­tra flavour, be­fore wak­ing up some sim­ple Der­byshire oat­cakes by turn­ing them into spicy samosas. There’s fun in­spi­ra­tion to be had if you’re tired of mak­ing the same old meals, but one or two of the flavour com­bi­na­tions seem a bit scary to us – much as we love her, we might pass on Nadiya’s Tan­doori cod burger and have good old fish and chips in­stead!
