As Aaron returns, Robert begs for another chance

-

The course of true love has been so rocky for Robert and Aaron, it’s a wonder the pair of them haven’t taken a vow of celibacy and retreated to the nearest cave. Aaron is not far off from doing that, as he was adamant it was all over between them when he left for Ireland – but Robert is lost without his other half and is determined to patch things up when his husband returns to the village this week.

‘Robert loves Aaron,’ says Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert. ‘He really regrets what happened with between him and Rebecca, but that is in the past and all he can do now is try and rescue their relationship.’

Rebecca, who’s been surprisingly supportive towards her ex-lover and babyfather in recent weeks, encourages Robert when he says he wants to reconcile with Aaron. But when Adam gets to hear about Robert’s plan, he warns him that it will be a waste of his time.

He’s proved right, because when Aaron later shows up in the village and Robert begs him for another chance, he tells his estranged husband that it’s too late. Robert then packs his bags and moves out of the house they share.

Adam fears that the split will prompt Aaron to self-harm again. He checks up on him and is stumped when his friend then disappears for a business meeting with Zak Dingle of all people.

Robert, meanwhile, feels guilty when Rebecca mentions Tim’s plot to sully the Whites’ reputation with defamatory emails – which he’s secretly a part of. He has other things to worry about, though, when he spots Aaron with a black eye.

He expresses his concern, but Adam warns him to stay away from his ex. Is this really the end for Robron?
