they started out as one of the best Bri­tish blues bands of the 1960s be­fore rein­vent­ing them­selves as the quin­tes­sen­tial West Coast rock­ers of the 1970s, but what makes this doc­u­men­tary about Fleet­wood Mac worth re­watch­ing is the hon­esty of the con­trib­u­tors. Made when Chris­tine Mcvie had re­tired from the band – she’s since re­joined – it fea­tures new in­ter­views (plus ar­chive in Chris­tine’s case) in which the band spill the beans about their whole ca­reer, in­clud­ing the men­tal health is­sues of orig­i­nal gui­tarist Peter Green and the mak­ing of Ru­mours – when drug­tak­ing fu­elled the in­fi­delity and in­fi­delity fu­elled the drug-tak­ing.
