Scheming Robert drugs Lawrence, who then crashes his car at the Home Farm Zombie Run…
In a delirious state, Lawrence heads off to the car…
Now that he’s stopped putting all his energies into winning Aaron back, Robert has turned bad again, and decided that Home Farm is there for the taking. Heaven knows how he plans to nab the estate from the Whites, but it starts with him drugging poor Lawrence, who has only just recovered from an aneurysm.
Robert has managed to get his feet back under the table at the ‘big house’ by helping out Rebecca in Lawrence’s absence. Now he’s there, however, he wants more, and is annoyed that Lawrence has discharged himself from hospital.
Not to be defeated, he gets sleeping pills for insomnia from the GP, which he crushes up and adds to Lawrence’s brandy. Lawrence shouldn’t be drinking, but he’s not one to resist a tipple.
Rebecca is worried about her dad’s ill health and decides to cancel a Zombie Run event in the woods at Home Farm.
But Lachlan overrules her and insists that it go ahead. ‘Lachlan is running the
event and wants to prove himself,’ says John Bowe, who plays Lawrence. ‘Meanwhile, Lawrence is in a general state of self-pity, as you would be if you had an aneurysm and your partner had left you.
After drinking his brandy, he falls asleep and wakes up feeling groggy and hallucinating. He can hear screaming and music coming from outside and, in a delirious state, drives around the estate to find out what’s going on.’
But he’s in no fit state to drive as he gets behind the wheel in his pyjamas and bare feet, and it’s not long before his vehicle is hurtling towards Belle, Lachlan and Victoria. Could Robert’s actions have inadvertently caused the death of his own sister?
Back at the scrapyard, Aaron finds one of Robert’s pills and guesses he is up to something.
Will he work out that his ex is responsible for Lawrence’s crash?
