Lovers on a mission
Fi pushes Max to get more information on Carmel
None of us should have been surprised when it was revealed recently that Max Branning was in a relationship with Fi Browning. She’s attractive and has a pulse, which seems to be everything
Max looks for in a woman.
This week, the pair are still carrying on in secret, and upping their mission to get council information out of Carmel – who has no idea that her new ‘boyfriend’ is taking her for a ride.
It seems Fi has just as few scruples as her lover, and has no problem with him bedding another woman, if it means she gets what she wants. It also looks like she’s wearing the trousers in their relationship. Catching up with Max in the Square, she pushes him to get more information out of his fake girlfriend.
Max duly obliges, and joins Carmel and oblivious Denise for a drink at The Vic. After getting what he wants, he then sneaks off and reports back to Fi about what Carmel has just told him.
Poor Carm still has no idea that she’s being used, and Max is able to manipulate her with ease. But he suddenly comes a cropper when she invites him to a family dinner. He wants to keep their ‘relationship’ on the down-low, for obvious reasons, and his unenthusiastic response hacks her off, to the point that she cancels and storms off.
Can Max come up with a way to get her back on side?
