lon­don is tonight’s foodie des­ti­na­tion as Nadiya does a bril­liant job of squeezing so much into just half an hour (shouldn’t this be an hour long?). She be­gins at an ur­ban farm, but this is un­like any farm you’ll have ever seen. More sci­ence lab in an East End ware­house, it’s ex­tra­or­di­nary what is grown there as a so­lu­tion to food pro­duc­tion in our ever-grow­ing cities. Af­ter cook­ing a beau­ti­ful-look­ing fish and wa­ter­cress curry, Nadiya meets a chef who uses scent as a flavour, which in­spires her to make a po­lenta cake flavoured with or­ange blos­som and herbs. Her fi­nal flavour flour­ish is a stun­ning pie com­bin­ing tra­di­tional old Lon­don with con­tem­po­rary new flavours.
