Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Film / 8.00pm / Sky Cinema Premiere

TV Times - - Friday -

Taking its premise from a detail mentioned in the original Star Wars, this first stand-alone movie in the universe created by George Lucas is a thrilling adventure peopled with great characters, none more so than the heroine Jyn, played with feisty intensity by Felicity Jones. She’s a lone wolf coerced into leading a team to steal the plans for the Death Star, with a bit of help from Diego Luna and miserable android K-2SO, voiced superbly by Alan Tudyk. Chief villain is smarmy Ben Mendelsohn, taking orders from an unsettling CGI version of Peter Cushing in this classic ‘gang on a suicide mission’ template, done with such verve and commitment that you will be transported right there with our heroes.

Felicity Jones is in a galaxy far, far away
