I love you!

Carmel lays her heart on the line to manipulative Max

TV Times - - Soaps -

There’s going to be a tsunami of tears when Carmel finds out that Max has led her a merry dance. For now, though, the council worker is waltzing around Bridge Street like a lovestruck teenager, thinking she’s pulled the fittest, kindest man in Walford.

Believing that she and Max are now a proper couple, Carmel shows her new ‘boyfriend’ her holiday swimwear, and suggests that he join her on her trip to Spain. After checking with the boss – aka real girlfriend Fi – Max gives Carmel the answer she wants. She’s so happy she blurts out that she loves him. Under pressure, will

Max feel obliged to do the same?

Carmel then decides it’s time that Max got to know the other men in her life, and hosts a dinner for him, Kush and Shaki. But Shaki has no interest in bonding with his mum’s new fancy man, while Kush eyes Max with suspicion.

It’s all water off a duck’s back to Max, who has more important things on his mind. He orders Steven to help him with a plan, but Steven’s had enough of being blackmailed by his future father-in-law – who knows the truth about his fake brain tumour – and decides to tell Lauren the truth. But will he have the courage to stick to his guns?

Meanwhile, as the day of the holiday arrives, Fi learns that Max has ideas other than sipping Sangria. What is he up to now?

Heartbreaker: Carmel blurts out those three little words

Family dinner: Carmel has Max round to bond with her boys
