An Elephant’s World
Natural world / 7.00pm / Nat Geo Wild
trudging through India, Kenya and Mali, three migrating elephant herds are followed in this oneoff. They must steer clear of peril of many kinds, including predators, wildfire and poachers. In Mali, drought kills a newborn, resulting in a touching ‘funeral’, while in India a ‘mobile fortress’ of adults protects a baby from a tiger. It’s not all doom and gloom, though: there’s also sweet footage of little ones enjoying long-awaited mudbaths.
