It’s almost 20 years since Jane Mcdonald sang her way into our hearts on BBC1 docu-soap The Cruise.

Jane’s always been very proud of her roots, so she’s delighted to be test-driving different floating homes again, as her fun C5 series Cruising with Jane Mcdonald returns for a second run this week.

‘I love the sea,’ smiles Jane, in an exclusive interview with TV Times. ‘My mother told me the first time she took me to the seaside, I gave it a round of applause! And I still adore it now. I used to get travel sick as a child, but since I got my sea legs, I’ve never looked back.’

Here Jane, 54, guides us through the four episodes…

it’s been 19 years since Bbc1’s docusoap The Cruise made Jane mcdonald a household name, and she’s still getting on board! Jane’s own travel series returns for a second run, proving that modern cruises are a far cry from blue rinses and stuffy dinners. This week Jane boards the luxurious Viking Sky in Copenhagen for a seven-day Scandi-adventure. Highlights include a stop in Tallinn, Estonia, and a guided tour of the ABBA Museum in Stockholm, where an excitable Jane sings Mamma Mia! The credits roll with Jane belting out The Winner Takes It All, and a buoyant fair-weather feeling.
