VINE’S COMEDY IDOLS

TV Times - - Interview -

Tim is inspiring a new generation of comics, but who were the performers he looked up to? ‘There are two groups,’ says Tim. ‘The ones I watched growing up – like Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson – and the comics who were around me when I first did stand-up. I was doing five-minute open spots, while they did full 20-minute routines, so I was like a schoolkid admiring the sixth formers. My list would include Eddie

Izzard, Alan Davies, Bill Bailey and Harry Hill.’
