Whether it’s football, tennis or Glastonbury, we have by necessity developed a taste for nostalgia on TV recently. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics, due to start next week, won’t be going ahead because of COVID-19. However, that does give the BBC an opportunity to show this special edition of highlights from the fantastic London 2012 opening ceremony (hello again to a parachute jump by ‘The Queen’, a speedboat trip with David Beckham and Mr Bean conducting an orchestra). Britain’s Olympic Torch Story is on earlier on BBC2 (4.45pm). ★★★★ JP
