Fire dam­ages part of derelict house

A FIRE dam­aged large parts of a derelict house in Uxbridge on the af­ter­noon of Tues­day De­cem­ber 27.

Lon­don Fire Bri­gade were called to the scene at around 4.34pm and four fire en­gines and 21 fire­fight­ers tack­led the blaze in St An­drew’s Road. It took crews more than two hours to bring the fire un­der con­trol and it was ex­tin­guished by 7.05pm.

Parts of the first floor of the house and most of the roof were dam­aged.

Fire en­gines from Hilling­don, Ruis­lip and Hayes sta­tions were used.

The cause of the fire is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
