Fire damages part of derelict house
A FIRE damaged large parts of a derelict house in Uxbridge on the afternoon of Tuesday December 27.
London Fire Brigade were called to the scene at around 4.34pm and four fire engines and 21 firefighters tackled the blaze in St Andrew’s Road. It took crews more than two hours to bring the fire under control and it was extinguished by 7.05pm.
Parts of the first floor of the house and most of the roof were damaged.
Fire engines from Hillingdon, Ruislip and Hayes stations were used.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
