CLARIFICATION - John Donovan

ON Wednesday December 21 the Uxbridge Gazette published a story about John Donovan, 32, from Ruislip, who was jailed for 10 years for causing grievous bodily harm.

In the story, we reported Donovan was found guilty following a trial after previously pleading not guilty.

In fact, Donovan changed his plea to guilty after the jury had been sworn in for his trial. This meant the judge ordered the jury to enter a guilty verdict.
