Where there’s a there’s a musical way

Hayes FM presenter Hughie Dixon reviews the live band scene

Uxbridge Gazette - - LEISURE -

FHERE’S a suggestion: forget the TV, have a cup of tea and a biscuit, then sit back in awe and wonderment while absorbing the songwriting talents of Alistair Will, whose Hayes FM debut performance is on Tuesday January 24 between 8pm and 9pm.

Hailing from Great Missenden, in Buckinghamshire, Alistair combines a myriad of styles including indie, folk with a little bitty bit of techno-electro and tackles many a social issue with often a poetically blunt yet soulfully human and humorous eye.

Often an inorganic noise will creep into the mix, but only to enhance and never to dominate the delicate soundscape or distract the listener from the compelling story unfolding within each song.

Alistair is the master of the photographic song in that each offering has a snapshot of a moment in time or a brief trailer form an epic documentary.
