Boris re­turns to for­eign sec­re­tary post

UXBRIDGE and South Ruis­lip MP Boris John­son has been reap­pointed For­eign Sec­re­tary.

In a tweet, the for­mer Mayor of Lon­don said: “De­lighted to be reap­pointed For­eign Sec­re­tary.

“Lots of great work to do for great­est coun­try on earth. Let’s get crack­ing for Global Bri­tain.”

Mr John­son was re­elected with 23,716 votes, up from 22,511 in 2015.

It comes af­ter a dam­ag­ing Gen­eral Elec­tion for the Tories on Thurs­day June 8.

They lost 12 seats, which meant they lost their ma­jor­ity, while Labour gained 29.
