I thInk the screenwriters who adapted the Bourne Trilogy did a pretty good job of it. In the original novels, the action takes place in the 1980s, with Bourne making lots of frantic calls from phone boxes in central London. It occurred to me that in the recent films set in these days of mobile phones, they could have kept the phone box scenes with Bourne and still maintained credibility by having him explain early in the film that he’s with the Orange Network.
