PRINCE PHILIP is to step down from his duties of mak­ing racist com­ments, in­sult­ing for­eign­ers and gen­er­ally be­ing un­pleas­ant to mem­bers of the pub­lic, Buck­ing­ham Palace an­nounced yes­ter­day. The 240-bed­room royal res­i­dence told re­porters that Philip, 96, had made the de­ci­sion him­self af­ter dis­cus­sions with the QUEEN, who fully sup­ported him. Af­ter the an­nounce­ment, Down­ing Street paid trib­ute to the Duke. “Prince Philip has worked tire­lessly to cause em­bar­rass­ment and awk­ward­ness for this coun­try at home and abroad for more than seven decades, and we wish him a long and happy re­tire­ment,” said the 120ft­long gated White­hall cul-de-sac.
