New Pink Floyd boxset to include Pink Floyd
THE NEW ultra-deluxe version of the latest remaster box set from rock legends Pink Floyd will feature an exclusive and exciting extra for their biggest fans... the band themselves.
The box set will contain all the band’s albums on both vinyl and CD, numerous extra discs of demos and live takes, a limited edition signed hardback book and the prog rockers in the flesh.
catalogue
“We wanted to provide the most definitive version as possible of our back catalogue,” said guitarist and vocalist David Gilmour.
“Including ourselves in the boxset seemed the logical way to achieve this.”
The progressive rock legends will be packed in a special compartment in the box set with enough food and water to sustain them until they are unpacked.
It is understood that there will be a separate compartment for estranged bassist Roger Waters, who split from the group in 1985 over creative differences and launched a legal battle with the rest of the band over name and material rights.

A spokesman for the band’s record company told us: “I don’t think any band have ever given themselves away with a record before. This is a great opportunity for fans of the band to get hold of something really special.”
“But obviously, this special box set will be a limited edition of one, so any fans should get down to their record shop early on release day,” he added.
