IN 1983, my hus­band and I stayed in an apart­ment block on Menorca only three doors down from a guy who had taken two frames off Tony Drago in an Un­der 16s Snooker knock­out at But­lins, Pwheli in the 1970s, sadly go­ing on to lose 3-5. But to talk to him, or go on the glass-bot­tomed boat ex­cur­sion with him like we did, he seemed like just any other hol­i­day­maker!
