Teenager killed in early-hours car crash

A TEENAGER died after a crash at Llancynfelyn near Machynlleth yesterday.

Police said the 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and that his family had been informed. He was driving a silver Ford Fiesta and there were no other vehicles involved.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the driver was last seen in the Spar store in Aberystwyth at 3.15am and the crash is understood to have happened shortly afterwards.

Any witnesses or any one with information is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit in Cardigan on 101.
