HOLDERS Llanelli Town stormed into the quarter-finals of the Nathaniel Car Sales League Cup with a 3-0 drubbing of inconsiste­nt Afan Lido.

And, unusually, the prolific striker Lee Trundle did not get on the scoresheet although he created several openings.

There was a shock in the FAW Trophy when Merthyr League side Penydarren BC thrashed Welsh League Ynysygerwn 4-0. Chris Colvin bagged a hat-trick and Ben Jones got the other goal.
