NEXT BATCH OF STARS TO FACE JUNGLE

APREMIER League football manager, gameshow star and Coronation Street actress are the first three names confirmed to appear in the jungle on this year’s I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here.

Former Spurs and West Ham legend Harry Redknapp - who is the father of retired England midfielder Jamie and uncle to ex-Chelsea favourite Frank Lampard - will join Coronation Street actress Sair Khan and gameshow boffin Anne Hegerty of The Chase, both of whom have also signed up for the hit ITV show, the Mirror reports.

How long 71-year-old Harry lasts Down Under, however, is another matter entirely - he’s previously admitted that he would struggle to get through a day without wife Sandra to prop him up.

“I wouldn’t cope. I’m useless,” he said. “She treats me like a baby. She does everything. I can’t cook, I can’t make a coffee, I can’t do nothing.”

A source said of him joining I’m a Celebrity: “Harry is never anything less than good value. He’s had a long, interesting career and knows a lot of famous people. He’ll be fun to watch.”

This year’s stint Down Under will be the first where Declan Donnelly won’t be presenting alongside his long-term showbiz partner Ant McPartlin, the troubled 42-year-old taking time off for his career to continue his stint in rehab.

Instead This Morning host Holly Willoughby will be taking on presenting duties.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure,” said Holly. “I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery. These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit.”

Other big names rumoured to be taking part in the series include MMA fighter Conor McGregor and former Ukip leader Nigel Farage.
