Harrison and Mickey Mouse team up for chopper fund
A SCHOOLBOY from Bedworth will continue his fundraising for The Air Ambulance Charity this weekend – with the help of Mickey Mouse.
Harrison Smith, a pupil at Race Leys Juniro School in Bedworth, will be collecting for the lifesaving charity at Tesco in Bedworth town centre tomorrow alongside Disney’s most famous mouse.
The 11-year-old has already held a raffle and a nonuniform day at the school where he is a head boy.
Mum Leigh Smith said: “Harrison loves watching shows about the emergency services such as Countryside 999 and Traffic Cops and is really interested in the work of the air ambulance.
“One day he turned to me and said ‘did you know that it doesn’t get funding from the Government’, and he decided to do something.
“Also one of his teachers was in a car crash and the air ambulance flew her daughter to hospital, so it is quite close to his heart.”
