Keane sweat­ing on Euro fit­ness

ROB­BIE Keane is out of the Repub­lic of Ire­land’s fi­nal warm-up game against Be­larus af­ter dam­ag­ing a calf mus­cle in train­ing.

Man­ager Martin O’Neill con­firmed yes­ter­day evening af­ter the rest of the squad had trained at Turner’s Cross in Cork that the LA Galaxy striker had been given an in­jec­tion and would not be in­volved in to­mor­row’s game. How­ever, Keane is yet to be ruled out of the squad for the Euro 2016 fi­nals, which will be sub­mit­ted shortly af­ter the fi­nal whis­tle.

James McCarthy was able to train with the phys­ios, but Harry Arter limped out with a thigh prob­lem and is to un­dergo a scan.
