MES Systems Ltd still building for future

Warwickshire Telegraph - - BUSINESS DAILY -

IT started as an electrical contractor almost three decades ago.

But MES Systems Limited decided to leave that market and moved into the security industry by installing and maintaing intruder alarms.

Now, thanks to a successful 2015, the Nuneaton firm has been nominated for the Small Business of the Year category of this year’s Coventry Telegraph Business Awards (CTBA2016).

Andy Morgan established the company in 1988 with his then apprentice Ian Kemp.

It went from strength to strength in the 1990s, building a loyal customer base and building up partnerships with other electrical contractors, which included swapping electrical jobs for fire and security work.

In 2004 the business made the strategic decision to drop most of its electrical work to concentrate on fire and security.

It continues to partner with electrical contractors to seek opportunities in this field.

MES Systems now employs ten people to supply, maintain and install fire and security products, such as intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms and access control systems.

The company plans to take on two further members of staff this year and is planning to increse its customers base by over 50 per cent over the next three years.”

Office Manager Richard Morgan said: “We have built up a large customer base over 25 years, ranging from the likes of Mr and Mrs Smith to McDonalds, who have chosen to work with us thanks to recommendations.

“We understand that if we come recommended then it is likely that the customer has high expectations which we strive to meet. Over 96 per cent of our work is either repeat business or referral based which shows our passion and commitment for customer service.

“We always act quickly to roll out the latest innovations to our new and existing customers and recently we have been developing systems to work with smart phone apps. We are also in the process of finalising our new trade showroom.

“We are planning to increase our customer base by 50 per cent over the next three years and looking to grow our turnover by 20 per cent each year from now until 2018.”
