A TRAIN­ING firm paid tribute to health and so­cial care ap­pren­tices and em­ploy­ers across Coven­try and War­wick­shire by host­ing a spe­cial awards evening.

More than 50 peo­ple at­tended the C& W Cham­ber Train­ing ( CWCT) event, which recog­nised out­stand­ing ap­pren­tices in cat­e­gories such as Health and So­cial Care, Med­i­cal Ad­min­is­tra­tion, Pro­gres­sion of the Year and Em­ployer of the Year Awards.

Jean Wool­lis­croft from Ben Town Thorn, a care cen­tre in Rugby, was awarded Em­ployer of the Year. It has been pro­vid­ing res­i­den­tial care since 1991 in­clud­ing nurs­ing care, care for younger adults, de­men­tia care, respite care, re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and as­sisted liv­ing.
