Warwickshire Telegraph - - NEWS - By LAURA HARTLEY

THE kids from St Bernadette’s Primary School in Coventry are back as the staff and students audition for a coveted place in a spectacular musical competition in the latest Nativity film.

With the unique feel good charm of the original film, Celia Imrie reprised her rose as headmistress Mrs Keen, starring alongside Meera Syall, Ruth Jones, Anna Chancellor, Hugh Dennis and Helen George.

The film also introduces Simon Lipkin as Jerry Poppy and Craig Revel Horwood as the strictly ruthless show director Emmanuel Cavendish.

Nativity Rocks is the fourth film in the series, and will be out nearly ten years after the first one.

Nativity first came out in 2009, and starred some big names including Martin Freeman and Ashley Jensen.

It is only fitting that Coventry will be getting to host the UK premiere for the film.

Simon Lipkin, Craig Revel Horwood, producer Nick Jones and film director Debbie Issit will all be attending the premiere at the Odeon Skydome.

The premiere will take place on Monday, November 19, at around 5.30pm.

A Christmas market complete with giant Christmas tree was set up outside Coventry Cathedral during the shoot in March. Film crews were also spotted at Warwick Avenue, Earlsdon.

Other locations around Coventry have remained a secret but all will be revealed once the film is released.
